Meet The Denver Pro Pet Sitting Team

KRISTINA R.

Hi there! My name is Kristina and here’s a little about me:

Animals have always been my passion! Growing up, we had two hyper dogs, a snuggling cat, a couple birds, a horse named Sheza, iguanas, turtles, fish, guinea pigs, hamsters and snakes. Taking care of the furry ones and making them a part of our family was always our priority. Something I very much uphold to as an adult with my own family now. Speaking of my family, I have two cats (an F4 SBT Savannah and an all black domestic cat) as well as an amazing husband and two sweet kiddos that I love dearly!

I was born in Cleveland but grew up in South Florida. Went to college in Minnesota, spent some time in Northern & Southern California...and finally found my forever home here in Colorado. I love everything outdoors and being in the open air of the mountains. As an active person, I am constantly running around (literally) and exploring new areas.

I look forward to meeting your furry family and creating new relationships with them!

Hi, my name is Alisha, and here is a little bit about me:

I have always had a deep love for animals, and they have always been some of my greatest friends! I grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan with a sweet Keeshond, and moved to Minnesota for the beginning of my undergraduate degree after completing high school. In 2002, my family moved to Colorado, where we welcomed our second Keeshond into our family. I began working with animals professionally at a veterinary clinic and doggie day care while in school, and loved being around and working with their healing power. I eventually received my B.A. from Colorado State University in Technical Journalism: Television News and Video Communication, and I remained in Fort Collins for eight years after that working with college students planning their next steps, and pet-sitting part-time. In 2010, I moved to Pittsburgh, PA for graduate school to pursue my love of working with people in a clinical role. I received my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and moved back to Denver Colorado in 2013 where I am currently working as a Licensed Professional Counselor pursuing both my loves of working with people and animals at a ranch with horses, dogs, cats, mini-horses, goats, chickens, pigs, and sheep doing equine and animal-assisted therapy. I could not have completed my academic journey without my trusted companion cats Daisy, Beans, and Olive, or our sweet family dog, Zoe.

I absolutely love working with animals and caring for them, and I can't wait to meet you and yours! Take good care.

Emily H.

Denver Pro Pet Sitter Emily H.

Hi! My name is Emily and here’s a little bit about me:

I’ve loved animals since I was a child.  Unfortunately, my dad was allergic to cats and dogs, so instead of imaginary friends, I had imaginary dogs that I would play with.  Growing up, we had fish and birds in the house, and once I got to college, I adopted a ball python and later a bearded dragon.

I grew up in Southern California and graduated UC Santa Barbara with a Zoology degree.  My senior year of college I was volunteering at the Santa Barbara Zoo, where I was offered my dream job shortly after I graduated.  I initially worked with the barnyard animals, giant anteaters, giraffe, and meerkats; after a couple months I was offered a full-time position working with the elephants.  I worked with them for six years, also caring for reindeer, toucans, small monkeys, pigs, and capybaras, among others.

While at the zoo I also worked part-time at a veterinary emergency room as well as a Canine Physical Therapy Clinic, giving me a lot of clinical experience with cats and dogs.  More recently, I have done some pet-sitting for friends here and there, and with the pandemic I took the opportunity to change things up and move to Colorado.

I’m excited for this new adventure and look forward to meeting you and your four-legged family members!

Bradley N.

Denver Pro Pet Sitter Bradley N.

Hi, my name is Brad and here is little bit about me:

I recently moved back to Colorado after completing my Master’s in International Security Studies from The George Washington University in Washington D.C. where I focused on environmental security impacts from climate change and technological solutions to help address the challenge. While I never had the opportunity to have a pet when I was growing up in New York City and Connecticut, I always had a great love for the outdoors, and enjoyed spending time with animals.

I have more than 15 years’ experience walking dogs and cat sitting for friends, family, and neighbors. Before going to graduate school, I was a student at Denver University. My younger years in Denver was one of the most memorable times in my life and drove me to come back to the city I love and the community I now call home. I really enjoy taking walks with canine friends, and in my picture you can see Collie, my friends’ dog that I have known and helped raise since it was a puppy 11 years ago. I look forward to taking care of your pet and brightening their day!

Justine T.

Hi friends! My name is Justine and here's a bit about me:

I was born and raised in Florida, where I went to school for photography and graphic design whilst working early mornings at a coffee shop. In the midst of the pandemic, my fiancé and I moved to Colorado to make it our forever home. My free-time is likely spent tending to my garden/house plants, doing yoga, playing video games, and hosting the occasional dinner party.

Growing up in a condo didn't allow for me to have any pets of my own other than fish. Deeply saddened by this- my furry (or scaly) friend fix had to come from friends or relatives. Came college and not many friends had pets, but the coffee shop customers did! The exposure became daily, and the love for animals grew with it. It wasn't just pups that got pup cups either: cats, birds, snakes, lizards, and even a squirrel in a santa suite. I realized that was the best part of the job, and so I wanted it to become my job!

Within the first year of living here, I adopted a husk/malamute puppy. The next thing I know... my dog needed a dog, so I adopted a 5 year old husky. They are my world, so I understand first-hand how much your pet means to you.

I am so excited to get to know you and your friend(s) so that I can love them like my own when you are away!

Emily D.

Hi there! My name is Emily and here is a little about me:

I've been around animals of all kinds, primarily dogs and cats, my entire life. Originally from central Maine, I received my Bachelor's Degree in Marketing Management and immediately moved out to Colorado after graduation.

The first thing I did when I moved out here was petsitting. It was a great way to keep myself busy, and I love hanging out with animals, so it was a win-win for me! I have 10+ years of experience caring for animals. Additionally, I also  work for a national nonprofit serving lawyers who work with children and families and have 5+ years of experience in the nonprofit field.

I have so much care and love to give that pet sitting and spending time with animals is something that I find so fulfilling. I'm also currently a volunteer at my local animal shelter.

I look forward to meeting your pet(s) and ensuring they are healthy and happy!

Jade V.

Hello! My name is Jade and I’m so excited to meet you and your fur family!

I have spent the majority of my life in Colorado, but also lived several years in Minnesota, where my daughter spent her childhood and I attended college at UMD for Human Services. I moved to Athens, Georgia in 2014 and then to Washington DC before moving back to Colorado in 2017. I currently live in Aurora with my husband and daughter. We have 2 dogs, Teddy and Barney, and a third is on her way from Guatemala! We also have three cats, Cheetah, Harry, and Dumpster Kitty. I have been pet sitting for about 10 years and have opened my home to welcome dogs in need. Through boarding and fostering, I have provided temporary homes to several dogs and a few cats.

I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to make a positive impact on the animals I have cared for and am excited to continue my journey serving people and their pets!

Lydia Z.

Denver Pro Pet Sitter Lydia Z.

Hi, I'm Lydia and I'm thrilled to be here!

I'm a passionate animal lover with over two decades of experience in veterinary technology. My love for animals began in California, where I grew up surrounded by various pets, including rats, hamsters, rabbits, and cats. This early exposure to the animal kingdom ignited a deep connection that led me to pursue a career in veterinary technology. After graduating from Bel Rea Institute of Animal Technology with an associate degree in animal technology, I embarked on a 10-year journey in the veterinary field, gaining hands-on experience in various settings. From working at animal shelters to assisting in animal rescues, I have witnessed the transformative power of veterinary care and the resilience of the animal spirit. Throughout my career, my passion for animals has only grown stronger.

I currently share my home with three furry companions – three dogs who bring joy and unconditional love into my life. My love for animals extends to reptiles as well, and I still have Monty, a reptile I rescued as a kid. My dedication to animal welfare extends beyond my professional endeavors. I actively volunteer my time and expertise to various animal organizations, advocating for the well-being of all creatures.

With over 20 years of experience, I have developed a comprehensive understanding of animal care, from providing compassionate veterinary care to educating pet owners on responsible pet ownership. My expertise lies in animal handling, medical procedures, and client communication, ensuring that every animal receives the best possible care. I’m committed to using my knowledge and skills to make a positive impact on the lives of animals. My passion for animal welfare drives me to provide exceptional care and advocate for the well-being of all creatures.

I look forward to getting to know and care for your beloved pets!

Lindsey D.

Hey there, I'm Lindsey!

Proudly bred in Colorado, I call Denver home sweet home, living with my husband and our feline overlord, Kakashi. My roots trace back to Aurora, where I reveled in my days at Eaglecrest High School—it was a blast! Post-school adventures led me to the Community College of Aurora, where I delved into anthropology for a solid two years.

Life took an exhilarating turn when I whisked off to Colorado Springs at 20 and serendipitously met my husband. Our journey led us to North Dakota for a whirlwind two years before finding our way back to the Centennial State in 2020. That's when we tied the knot, celebrating our union in the vibrant spring of 2022. Work-wise, I've worn multiple hats—a decade nurturing young minds in childcare, fourteen years as a trusted pet sitter, and three years diving into the world of esthetics. Now, my other gig lands me at a waxing salon in Denver - I love it!

Animals have held a special place in my heart since I can remember. If my home could accommodate it, I'd have a menagerie! Growing up, I had two cherished cats, and I became the go-to pet sitter for my friends' dogs. My own kitty rules the roost and is truly my fur baby. I get it—the bond between you and your furry companions is sacred. I'm here, bubbling with excitement, ready to extend a helping hand in taking care of your beloved family members!

Hilarri S.

Hey there!

I'm Hilarri and I'm thrilled to meet you. My passion for animals ignited when I was a kid, growing up amidst the diverse creatures on a Colorado ranch. Living here has been a boon—I take my dog on every adventure Colorado offers, exploring the majestic mountains from the foothills to the western slopes. Snowboarding, wakeboarding, hiking, camping, and off-roading are some of our favorite pursuits.

Currently, I'm pursuing my dream of becoming a professional dog and service dog trainer. Training animals brings a profound purpose to my life, and I relish working with all kinds of creatures. Thanks to early exposure, understanding animal behavior has become second nature to me, granting me a unique ability to communicate effortlessly with them.

I'm eagerly looking forward to meeting you and your furry companion to discover what brings them the most joy—whether it's treats, praise, or playtime! Can't wait to embark on this exciting journey together!

Averill D.

Hi! My name is Averill, and here is a little bit about me:

I grew up on the coast of Maine surrounded by lots of wildlife and my family’s numerous pets. Some of my earliest memories are of taking our dogs to swim in the ocean and our cats following us on walks to the beach. When I left home for college seven hours away in Boston, the hardest part was leaving my two dogs behind. As soon as I got my own apartment, I adopted my two cats, Dax and Gaius, and we’ve been adventuring together ever since. I have always loved getting to know animals’ unique personalities. I’ve been pet sitting for most of my adult life and have looked after many dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, rabbits, and more, and I’ve made some great furry (and human!) friends and memories. I can’t imagine life without animals!

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Communication & Media Studies at Simmons College in Boston. In addition to pet sitting, I work remotely for a study abroad company. I recently moved to Denver so I can explore this beautiful part of the country. I couldn’t be more excited to meet you and your fur babies and give them the same level of care and attention I give my own pets!

ALison H.

Denver Pro Pet Sitter Alison H.

Hi! My name is Ali, and here’s a bit about me:

Originally from the Boston area, I attended Fairfield University, where I earned my business degree in Marketing and Data Analytics. Following graduation, I ventured out West, spending a delightful year soaking up the sun in San Diego before ultimately settling down in Colorado. I live in the Lower Highlands area, where I recently rescued my golden retriever pup, Kona. Kona was surrendered due to a hereditary defect, but their loss became my gain! Through her, I've learned invaluable lessons in compassion, patience, and the true meaning of unconditional love.

Animals have always been my passion and priority, spanning over a decade of professional dog walking and animal care. For four of those years, I proudly operated my own pet sitting business. Since childhood, I've dedicated myself to animals, whether through volunteering at local shelters, dog walking, or simply training my own furry companions. They've consistently held a special place in my heart and have remained a big priority throughout my life.

I'm genuinely excited to meet you and your beloved pets! Be assured that they'll be in caring hands every step of the way, receiving the same level of love and respect as if they were my own!

Julia B.

Hey there! My name is Julia:

I’ve been an animal lover since the day I was born and have cared for dogs, cats, hamsters, snakes, frogs, and even an iguana. I attended Chesapeake College in Wye Mills, Maryland and have over 6 years of professional experience working in doggy daycares across the US (including Hawaii!). I’m currently in school for positive behavioral dog training and I’m so excited to take the next step in my career with dogs and help humans build even better relationships with their pups! Working and caring for furry friends brings me the most joy in this life- that's how I know it's my calling! Creating a bond with them and having that mutual trust and love is the most beautiful feeling. Thank you for allowing me to take care of your best friend :)

Jenna M.

Greetings! My name is Jenna:

A common question in life is "what's a soulmate?" and my instant answer to that question is animals! Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, I have enjoyed being out and about in Colorado's colorful seasons always with an animal by my side. I currently refer to my fur family as my 3G network (which absolutely leaves room to grow more Gs). The 3G network includes my energetic and happy husky-mix dog named Gem (2 years old), my loyal and friendly fluff of a cat named Gus (10 years old) and my shy but oh-so sweet black cat named Gypsy (5 years old). I am so grateful for each of them.

In 2016, I accomplished my college education with a Bachelors of Arts in Art Education, and a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Painting from Colorado State University. I currently work as an admissions advisor, helping connect university students across the US with technology-concentrated bootcamps (such as coding, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and more). I previously used to be a visual arts teacher for both High School and Middle School. As an independent artist, I prefer to draw, paint and dapple with digital art.  I absolutely love drawing realistic pet portraits! While I love working in education with art and technology, I always find myself most happy when I'm with animals. Getting to know every animal for their unique personalities, while also providing a safe and fun environment, is the best way to spend the day!

I look forward to getting to know and care for your pets too!

Julia J.

Hello there! My name is Julia. Thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about me!

I've been an animal lover my whole life and grew up with cats, dogs, and fish! I’m originally from Tokyo, Japan, and I've truly enjoyed living in Colorado for 20 plus years (Denver for the past 4 years). It’s great to live in another pet-friendly city! Fun fact, I graduated from Pima Medical Institute as a Medical Assistant.

Caring for animals is truly my passion! After leaving a long career in human healthcare, I became a dog walker and a pet sitter in 2021. This career change has been one of the best decisions of my life! I have both professional and personal experiences handling cats, dogs, fish/aquariums, and other small critters such as turtles, frogs, hamsters, and hedgehogs. It's an absolute joy to care for animals and make sure their needs are met and beyond.

I look forward to getting to know your furry companions!
